Forever in Transit reach escape velocity with prog metal album "A Coming to Terms"

Forever in Transit make melody in motion. It is no surprise that the dynamic nature of their songs comes from purposeful meditation. The brainchild of Buffalo, NY-based multi-instrumentalist Dan Sciolino, this collective has gone on to challenge every box that contains genres. Brilliant production, instrumental genius and a driving fire to evolve makes their music an aural spectacle to behold. This is their EP, A Coming to Terms.

If you were to explore the space that sound provides, you must detach. That is what Forever in Transit help you do in the opening seconds of their song. Let Go of Your Earthly Tether dissolves you in ambient environ, before giving you the attack of complex riffs and overlapping harmonies. It explodes with feverish energy, the breaking through of momentum. Forever in Transit is the reckoning of a hyper-creative mind in flight- and music seems to be the apt vessel for them to truly spread their wings.

Forever in Transit

What Lies Beneath continues the spectral complexity of their riffs with ambient sounds that count you into meditation. Like Marconi Union, their detail in the instrumental range is very precise, and engrossing. The synth leads are a perfect prelude to the vocals that will surround your psyche. Lyrics explore the transcendent possibilities of prog metal melodies. Both complement each other to create a very rich and textural palette of sound, while still packing a voltage that is beyond any mortal gauge.

I Cling to Threads represents the patient unravelling of a sane mind. Electronic elements splice with dexterity to alternating time signatures, reverberating with the many possible outcomes the song can take in a moment. What Forever in Transit are designing a pandoras box for those who dare to abandon their reality. Diego Tejeida and Daniel Ross feature in brilliant songs that truly show their strength and compatibility with the band.

Dan Sciolino

Creatively, the band are on a journey to construct their own renegade sound that hasn’t been approached this way. Their unique experiences, Dan Sciolino’s virtuosic range births something that has prodigal capabilities. It might be the answer to where prog metal wants to go next. Rather, if we will be able to come to terms with it:
